Onboarding

Every business starts with Ray alongside the Convray team

The Convray team works closely with each business: the knowledge, the sensitive topics, the test cases and the widget installation, through to going live.

What it includes

Close support from end to end, not just an account

Each company works with the team that builds Ray, from the first conversation until Ray is serving its customers.

  • Guided setup

The Convray team sets up Ray together with the company: widget language, tone, allowed sites and installation.

  • Knowledge ready to use

Articles and files are loaded in the console, with bulk markdown import and a report; nothing is published without review. Coming soon: import of the current tool’s export.

  • The company’s own sensitive topics

Ray’s base list plus the categories the company marks as sensitive, with the holding message and the path to a person.

  • The company’s test cases

The company’s frequent questions become test cases that every publication runs before going live.

  • Pause at any time

A switch on the company’s side pauses Ray and every new conversation goes to a person. Coming soon: going live in stages and a way back to the previous chat.

  • A direct line to the team

Feedback, bugs and requests go to the people who build Ray and shape what comes next.

How it works

Three steps, unhurried and in control

Ray goes live when the company’s team is satisfied with the results of its test cases.

  1. 01

    Request access

A short conversation with the Convray team to review the company’s case.

    • How Ray resolves the company’s frequent questions and where the team sees each source
    • Which topics go to a person and how they reach the team
    • The steps to install the widget and publish the knowledge
  2. 02

    Setup

The knowledge is loaded and reviewed, the sensitive topics and the test cases are defined, and the widget is installed with a single script.

Illustrative example: the imported knowledge becomes drafts for review, with warnings for duplicates, empty and expired items.

    Illustrative example with sample data.

  3. 03

    Going live

Ray is published once it passes the company’s cases, and the team follows each conversation in the inbox. Coming soon: going live by share of customers.

Illustrative example: part of the customers served by Ray and the rest by the current tool.

Commitments

What the company is asked for and what Convray brings

Onboarding runs both ways: the company brings its knowledge and its judgment, and Convray the setup and the product.

What the company is asked for

  • A person in charge of customer service, with time for the reviews
  • The existing knowledge: articles, files and saved replies
  • Its own sensitive topics and who handles them
  • Reviewing the first weeks’ conversations in the inbox
  • Candid feedback on what is working and what is not

What Convray brings

  • Setup and knowledge loading together with the company’s team
  • Clear notice of what works today and what comes next
  • Each company’s data kept isolated and no secret in the widget code
  • Ray does not move money or change account details
  • Ray can be paused at any time, with handoff to a person

In the open

What works today and what comes next

This site marks with “Coming soon” what will come later; the rest already works. Each company’s plan states what it uses from day one.

  • From day one

Before signing, each company knows which features it uses from the start and which ones come later.

  • No promised results

No metrics or customer stories are published: each company’s results are measured with its own test cases.

  • Always in control

A switch on the company’s side pauses Ray: every new conversation goes to a person on the team.

Questions

Questions about onboarding

  • Which companies can join?

Companies that serve customers over chat and have knowledge published or ready to publish. The first conversation reviews whether the case fits what Ray does today.

  • How long does setup take?

It depends on the existing knowledge and the sensitive topics. The stages and their dates are agreed in each company’s plan.

  • What if the results are not convincing?

Every publication runs the company’s cases and is blocked if one gets worse, and a switch pauses Ray: every new conversation goes to a person. Coming soon: a way back to the previous chat.

  • Which languages does Ray reply in?

Latin American Spanish, English or Brazilian Portuguese. The company sets the widget language in the console.

  • How is it billed?

Only the questions Ray resolves are paid for, with a platform fee and a monthly cap. The Convray team assigns the plan, with no online payment, and the terms are set in the contract.

  • Where is the data kept?

Each company’s data is kept isolated in the database, and the widget code carries no secrets.
